Debut album from young Dublin indie pop act, The Script, inspired by soul, classic singer-songwriters and American radio rock. Their soulful, emotional songwriting recalls the lyrical storytelling of Irish greats such as Christy Moore and U2, but with a strictly ultramodern aesthetic that coats the songs in glittering production values. The music boasts the kind of artful twists sure to turn all preconceptions on their head. Includes the singles "We Cry" and "The Man Who Can't Be Moved". |

Katy Perry is treated as the American response to Lily Allen from the UK. Her big voice, sassy attitude, and feisty, confessional songs make her standing apart from fellow American pop idols.
Her music blends the likes of Lily Allen and KT Tunstall, unleashing pop-rock power with some dance music throwing in. The first two singles from the album, "Ur So Gay" and "I Kissed A Girl", already stirred up critics and activists in the stateside. No matter what, her music displays a positive and shiny power while the topics are direct and simple. |
